No need to fret over the weather forecast for this summer’s company golf tournament if you’re willing to shake things up with a bit of fun. Rain or shine, or when darkness falls, Par-Tee Putt, an opening-soon indoor mini-golf venue in the heart of downtown, takes Mother Nature out of the equation. Players can test their skills — and luck — on three fun, quirky nine-hole courses no matter what the weather. There are 27 holes in all. That means a traditional shot-gun start for the corporate tourney could place 108 duffers on the course at the same time! All clubs and balls are supplied.
Designed around a pop-nostalgia theme, the courses are colourful and clever, with many Canadian and local-inspired references. There’s a Whistler, BC hole that tests your putting dexterity out on the half pipe, and a CNE section that requires balls to pass through the Princes’ Gates for a ride on a Ferris wheel that could land hole-in-one-chances. Of course, golf wouldn’t be golf without the 19th hole. Par-Tee Putt’s clubhouse serves adult beverages to help guide guest aim, and way-better-than-fairway-food. Think putts and pints, birdies and beer, suds and slices, chips and chips, etc. Total venue capacity is about 250.
