February finds us thinking about all the things we love about this industry. That includes finding new ideas to craft events that make our customers say, “Be Mine!”
Here are a few event trends that we’re falling for that might help make clients’ hearts go pitter-patter:
Authentic, playful and fun
In our world of social-sharing, clients are looking for playful opportunities to bring their brand to life. Jumping on the fun wagon is a good thing. But it’s also all about connecting, and rewarding, in an authentic way. Which means it’s time to push the boundaries in all event elements. For example, my team’s Monday-morning brainstorming sessions recently produced awesome out-of-the-box ideas for giveaways: Like drones in a nod to technology innovation, and succulent plants that allowed a client to connect with their audience with an environmentally friendly take away.
The family table is the centerpiece of any good home
Isn’t that what your mama always told you? That’s why we’re in love with the interactive and immersive food and beverage trend.
Toronto caterers are awesome in bringing this trend to life. Daniel et Daniel, 10tation, Toben Food By Design and Eatertainment have us swooning for culinary feats such as branded donuts and booster juice shot walls, and warm maple syrup poured over ice.
Healthy eating is in vogue but it doesn’t need to be boring, certainly not for our team of foodies. Mason-jar salads with quinoa, greens and more than just basic balsamic dressing have us falling in love all over again with our veggies. Yes, broccoli you are always in our hearts!
Barchef’s Gin and Chamomile Julep molecular cocktail experience at a recent gala event stole the limelight. So, too, did our Queen of Hearts cocktail at a Casa Loma event.
Find your passion with colour
What’s not to love about 2018’s Pantone colour of the year? We want to Ultraviolet everything! With all that vibrancy as inspiration we’ll be looking for ways to infuse a pop of color into our event surroundings with this bold new hue that commands attention. We can already see it paired with the natural woods and greenery in the new furniture line from Toronto décor companies. Check out Divine Furniture Rental’s latest stock!
Social will dictate how we event
Finding new ways to share event experiences is at the top of our trends list. A boomerang photo wall courtesy of Snapshot Photobooth brings photo booths to a whole new level. Selfies on a cookie, anyone? MakeLab makes it happen.
In 2018, we’re falling in love with the endless ways to connect with our audiences. What will be your event’s next passion play?
