Let There Be Chocolate

Oh, sweet chocolate. How do we event-love thee? Um, very much! Even the essence of chocolate is intoxicating. Thumbs up to Purdys Chocolatier. The 110-year-old-family-owned firm is a made-in-Canada gift-taste-eat-and-make source for sustainable cocoa-bean treats. Thank employees, clients and guests with a delivery of confection-filled boxes and baskets topped with a personalized ribbon and business card. Or include a customized chocolate selection as part of the event menu or in takeaway bags.

Check out the confectioner’s website under Chocolate U for ideas that extend the taste experience beyond opening up a box. Popular are the hands-on classes led by an in-house chocolate chef/sommelier who shares chocolate’s fascinating history, origins, unique facts and tasting steps before taking participants through the process of creating their own box of delicious decadence. Choose between truffle- and bark-making. Sessions come to your event site (10-guest minimum) or you come to one of Purdys retail locations (14 max).
