New catering company Victor Dries brings a few unique food and beverage options to the event scene. A collaboration between chefs Grant van Gameren and Chris Brown, the company specializes in immersive culinary experiences using non-traditional catering styles and cuisines. Both chefs have stellar reps — van Gameren for a slew of wildly successful restaurants including Bar Raval, Bar Isabel and his latest, Rosalinda, and Brown for Citizen Catering, The Stop Community Food Centre and Perigree. Victor is Brown’s father’s name and Dries is a family moniker on van Gameren’s side.
Among the offerings: Argentinian asado that fans the pair’s passion for open-flame grilling, and an authentic Italian experience, a country Brown spent half a decade eating and cooking his way through. Menus for corporate, social and brand enhancement events are customizable, and food stations non-traditional. There are also teambuilding options and a chef experience, where van Gameren or Brown (or both) personally prepare and present a multi-course meal for intimate gatherings of up to 12 guests. The firm also brings Bar Raval or Bar Isabel to an event, catering the Spanish tapas plates and pintxos the restaurants are famed for.
