The Edible Story offers many ways to narrate the culinary elements of an event. In addition to catering corporate and special events, the company hosts cooking classes and private parties onsite at its commercial kitchen. Awash in white aesthetics and chic urban accents, the year-old open-plan kitchen-event space is beautifully designed. The Richmond and Sherbourne Street venue is a stone’s throw from the George Brown College campus where chef-owner Alanna Fleischer and chef partner Brian Cheng met in culinary school.
Catering menus, for off-site or on-site delivery, are deliciously curated by season with the flexibility to customize dishes and plating to theme or occasion. For cooking classes, groups of up to 12 have the hands-on opportunity to work alongside chefs at assigned activity stations. Throw in a mystery box challenge to stir up competitive spirit. Demonstration-style classes accommodate larger groups. Long dining tables in front of house seat 42 for restaurant or family-style service. For cocktail receptions, the space is configurable for up to 75.
