Timbers takes salvaged scrap metals and vintage finds from renovations and farm auctions and gives them a second life as unique, handcrafted designs for home and garden. Created by Ian and Kim Grant in their Silver Hill, Ont. studio, the company’s Canadiana line in particular offers several out-of-the-ordinary event-gifting ideas such as maple leaf tin plaques and wall art personalized with messaging in magnetic letters. Finishes include raw metal, rust, silver or painted. The pair can custom create or adapt existing products to order.
Keep the chill off event goers and the memories top-of-mind with Ideal North’s fashion-savvy sweaters, toques, and scarves honouring the country’s nature and heritage with beautiful motif-laden knitwear designs. Produced out of Pointe Claire, PQ, the company launched its Canadiana collection last year. With a maple syrup-history stretching back to 1876, Jakeman’s uses the annual sap harvest from the family farm to produce its vast array of maple goodies. The family’s “sugar shanty” is adjacent the company’s maple gift shop, museum and pancake house located in Woodstock, Ont.
