No wonder the folks at Toronto-based luxury event décor boutique firm Chairs & Thrones are reporting a spike in brides and event planners seeking furnishings and accent pieces that reflect the upscale grandeur, glitz and glamour befitting a Royal wedding.

With a focus on one-of-a-kind custom pieces, Chairs & Thrones, a division of G.P.S. Décors, designs and manufactures according to client specifications. Elegant French Victorian style inspires much of its work. The firm’s in-house creative team can also produce architectural décor that encapsulates event themes, such as Rome’s Trevi Fountain, only scaled to venue size. In addition to custom design, the studio’s 20,000-sq.-ft. showroom warehouse offers a large inventory of rental collections, from stylish sofas and seating to unique centrepieces and exquisite accents. The four-year-old company recently shifted gears from business-to-business-only access to include the public.
