City Dance Corps is hot to tango.

Dance Lessons Help Employees Stay In Step
One, two, cha, cha, cha. City Dance Corps shows corporations how fancy footwork on the dance floor translates into synchronicity and teamwork back at the office. Co-owner Estelle Nicolaidis says not only is dance instruction a fun way to break the ice, but it also casts a spotlight on the importance of communication, leadership, execution and timing.

On-site and off-site programs are customized to corporate theme and objectives, with class sizes ranging from groups of eight to over 500. The studio, with a roster of 150 professional dancers, also offers instructional demonstrations for large events and choreographed extravaganzas that spark up the stage with a hot number or two.

Release a butterfly from Magical Monarchs.

Release The Butterfly Factor
According to Indian legend, whisper a wish before releasing a butterfly and it will fly that wish to the Great Spirit for granting. If true, Magical Monarchs, offering live butterflies in individual packages ready for release from May to October, is a prime source for thousands of potential wishes.

A member of the International Butterfly Breeders Association, the Toronto supplier specializes in the vibrantly coloured Monarch adult with its 4-inch wingspan. For a memorable aerial spectacle, cue event guests for an en masse release (outdoors only, of course). Pricing starts at $125 per dozen plus taxes and shipping with as much advance notice as possible, especially for June events.

Black Line Studio offers airbrush tattoos.

Is That A Tattoo On Your Shoulder?
As the artists at Black Line Studio can attest, no matter how chic an event, few guests (of any age) can resist the daring of getting a “tattoo.” On the event circuit, from clubs to opera galas, Black Line's talent work from a 10 x 10 “tattoo” station airbrushing a little temporary naughtiness on guests in removable black and coloured inks. Custom logo work available with pricing starting at $600 for 250 airbrush tattoos.

The studio has funky permanent digs on trendy King Street West, too. The upscale 2,400 sq. ft. lounge boutique, which also houses a tattoo art gallery, is available for private events up to 150 people. Add in little live theatre with (real) tattooing and piercing demonstrations and airbrush canvas artists hard at work.
