Check out this newly renovated venue: ROYAL ONTARIO MUSEUM While the Royal Ontario Museum’s full expansion and renovation is still a work in progress, the first new and renovated galleries recently had their big reveal. The restoration has uncovered soaring windows, reclaimed high vaulted ceilings and opened up sightlines, filling the Philosopher’s Walk building’s main floor (2,500 reception) with dazzling light and majestic space. Galleries and areas now ready for their event close-up include: the Samuel Hall Currelly Gallery featuring six large lounge areas and visuals to the entire main floor (900 reception; 600 sit down); the Gallery of Chinese Architecture (200 reception; 50 sit down); the South East Atrium (200 reception; 100 sit down); and the Rotunda Café, set underneath the golden mosaic dome of the Museum’s former main entrance (150 reception; 80 sit down).
