Jute Promos Make Earth Happy
HeyJute … the name says it all about this company’s eco-friendly choice of all-natural material that is the mainstay of its diverse line of brandable accessories. Stronger than hemp, jute is a sustainable product that grows readily anywhere. And, the fact that the products are made in India by a women’s self-help group (directly benefiting their families) plus a percentage of sales goes to a children’s rights group, makes further good corporate sense.
We like the rough-hewn look of HeyJute’s reusable tote bags – we’d definitely take these grocery shopping after dumping (er, filing) our convention materials. Wine gift bags and six-pack bottle carriers are guaranteed long-life, too. Other products include folders, ipod and laptop cases. Minimum orders apply.

Hot Rocks For De-stressed Events
Who would have thought lying on a bed of rocks would make for the perfect staff/client incentive or spa party social. Recently opened, the Iyashi Bedrock Spa, in the Yonge-Eglinton corridor, offers North America’s first Ganbanyoku — translation, rock bathing — experience. Spa-goers, dressed in supplied cotton outfits, enjoy the detox benefits of alternately warming the body stretched out on a bed of polished stones water-heated to 107.5° F, then cooling down in an adjoining relaxation room.
The lovely 3,000 sq. ft. facility offers 21 stone beds in a tranquil cedar wood setting. For private gatherings, station healthy bevies and snacks in the cool down room and reception area. Hot rock yoga and stretching sessions also available. Bye, bye sauna … hello rocks!
